Marketing Overview
Today we reviewed the marketing techniques we are going to use for the release of the rebel mixtape. Xavier from Morningstar Media has marketing technology that he wants to use to help promote the release. In order to make the most of this technology we will need a lot of content to post and test to see what is performing best. This will enable us to promote the content that works best.
Ideas
1) We make a portion of the royalties of the song available to fans to buy or earn through their promotional actions.
2) You litter, you see a hot girl you can’t have. You put trash in its place, you get the girl.
3) You really like a girl but she is cool with your opps.
4) Everywhere you go you see the same girl that you like, but as soon as you go to her, you see she's with other guys.
5) Create a rebel mascot costume and video the mascot going through New York handing out invitations to listen.
6) Girl texts her friend that she really likes this guy Sosah she met last week. Friend texts back his Social Media profile that shows Sosah with a different girl everyday of the week. Girl starts going on dates with other guys and posting on them on social media because she's mad. Story cuts back to Sosah messaging his manager to stop posting the AI pictures of him with girls, he thinks he met a real one.
7) Video of people running through the streets of New York sticking rebel stickers all over while a snippet of the first single plays in the background. The video ends with a link to an app that shows the location of all the stickers that have been put up. Users are then invited to request their free stickers to participate. Whoever posts the most stickers is rewarded.
8) Post Power Player - The idea is for a streaming player that is powered by posts. The more posts the louder the volume. Posts slow down, volume goes down. This was done by Lee Martin in 2021 for the band waterparks. You can see it here. Lee Martin's website provides his body of work and the code he used for each project. 9) Go on music related podcasts to promote the project.
