My phone overheated and the live cut off. We also lost the video so I’ll do my best to describe it.
Split Sheets
There are so many stories of artists not getting their splits right before they release a song. The track blows up. Money changes things and there is usually a fight. We decided to create an excel split sheet that mirrors the app. This will help make things as painless as possible.
Tutorials
Split sheets are just one part of the equation. Once you have them, you have to register them This includes creating an account at a performing rights organization typically ascap or BMI. Then you have to manually input the information from the split sheet. Then you have to repeat that process at SoundExchange & the mechanical licensing collective. Our app does this on your behalf, but in the meantime, we’re going to make tutorials to help people out.
