Key Points

Eric Hutchison joined today.  He is an amazing piano player and also is hosting the pro disc golf tour at his course in Clearwater MN Jun 21st to Jun 23rd.  He continues to select musicians to perform at the event.  If you are interested in heading out please let me know.

Rebel Platform

We went through the details of the rebel platform.  

Beta testing begins at the end of February / beginning of March. 

The platform does three things:

Protection 

 - Artists can register their track with all royalty collection societies from the platform. 

 - They can do this BEFORE the track is released for distribution to Spotify, Apple, etc...

 - Input your registration information one time and have it updated at ascap, SoundExchange and the MLC.

Distribution

 - Once an artist is ready they can distribute their music to all DSPs, Spotify, Apple, etc..

 - All streaming performance data and royalties will be collected in one place 

 - This allows artists to see quickly which tracks, platforms and regions are performing best.

Private Listening Communities

 - Each community includes a playlist and a message board

 - Artists can use this section to collaborate with each other

 - Artists can use this section to share music with fans before it is released

We will test the royalty registration, and distribution features of the platform with our mixtape first.  This is to make sure everything is working properly before we start taking on additional artists.  We need to make sure everything is handled perfectly.

NFT NYC

Anna has invited us to join her at Station 3 for an NFT NYC event.  We will meet in person and look for feedback on the live rebel platform.
